This is how it is

It's that majorly helpless overwhelming time of year yet again. It's that time of year to count your blessings keep your loved ones near and enjoy family and friend. Giving gifts and receiving. There is one thing that keeps getting cut out of the holiday that we are going to celebrate. Not many people realize that at the last moment they push Jesus out and ignore him till the new year or even the day after. The one thing that would be wonderful in the world if one Christmas that we could just listen to God and read the bible and not worry about gifts. I would find that just breath taking. It's a miracle that any one, including me, would do it. I found it very exciting last year or the year before when me and my family went to give this family that couldn't afford Christmas and the happy faces that made you feel good was just amazing! The feeling that you get is just fanatical. Instead of wanting this year even though I did tell my parent that I did want somethings but to me that was still to much. Isn't Christmas supposed to be about giving what you can and then thanking God that you could? I have had a hard time trying to figure out what to get my family and I can't even say......the one thing that I know is God has taken care of us this year and has helped us so much. With just everything with him in his hands has help tremendously..... I don't even know where to begin. I also composed this poem in October of 07 I would like you to read it....

CHRISTMAS. by Emily Peel.

Christmas is a time of thanks and giving
because of today a baby is living.
For he came to us by Gods hands
this little baby was for every man.
Mary was mom and Joesph the dad
even the little baby was glad.
That we could know about him
but every season we don't see him.
Why must it be about presents and the
tree, when God is here with us in
presence and with me.
The way he saved us was a miracle alone
because soon Jesus was on his throne.
Please have a safe Christmas and think
about what I've said.
Because the most important thing is some-
thing we have forgotten.

Please really think. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
